2025: Chidi Asonye Felicitates Journalists in Abia State
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Council, Comrade Chidi Asonye has felicitated its members, the people of Abia State and the entire nation on the occasion of the 2025 New Year celebration.
In his New Year message, Comrade Chidi Asonye expressed optimism that the New Year would be a better year for all.
He appreciated them for their loyalty and support throughout last year adding that with unity of purpose, their collective efforts would yield the desired results this year.
He prayed that the New Year would usher in peace, happiness, love, good health, riches and enabling environment to continue to ply their trade with renewed vigor and dedication.
He harped on the need for sustainable collaboration between journalists and the entire society for the enthronement of true democracy and good governance in the nation.
He appealed for improved welfare and retraining of journalists in the state to alleviate their suffering and enhance their abilities.
He expressed profound gratitude to the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) for his monthly media chat, which he said would foster transparency in the affairs of the state.
Comrade Chidi Asonye also expressed the hope that the NUJ Secretariat at Umuahia would be completed and handed over to the council by 2025 including the purchase of a new council bus.
Finally, he wished them a Happy and Prosperous New Year celebration adding that 2025 has so many good things in store for them.
