2027: DR. ALEX OTTI AMBASSADORS ARIARIA CHAPTER BACKS OTTI’S RE-ELECTION
Declares “No Vacancy in Government House, Umuahia”

As political activities gradually gather momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections, the Dr. Alex Otti Ambassadors, Ariaria International Market Chapter, Aba, have declared their unwavering support for the re-election of Governor Alex Chioma Otti of Abia State.

The group made its position known during an interactive session with journalists at Ariaria International Market, Aba, where members of its executive committee spoke extensively on what they described as the governor’s quality leadership and monumental achievements across the state, particularly in Aba and Umuahia.

Members of the group maintained that the state had not experienced the level of development currently being witnessed under Governor Otti since the creation of Abia State in 1991.

They stressed that the governor’s performance within just two years in office had surpassed the combined achievements of previous administrations over the past 24 years.

According to them, Governor Otti’s track record in office would speak strongly in his favour during the 2027 election.

They pointed to significant progress in several critical sectors, including road construction and rehabilitation, improved security, prompt payment of workers’ salaries, settlement of pensions and gratuities for retired civil servants, as well as improvements in healthcare, education, agriculture, commerce and industry.

Speaking during the interaction, the Coordinator of Dr. Alex Otti Ambassadors, Ariaria Chapter, Ambassador Anthony Uwakwe, stated that members of the group were fully mobilized and determined to work for the governor’s re-election in 2027.

He noted that the remarkable transformation taking place across the state, especially in Aba, had convinced traders and residents that Governor Otti deserved another mandate to consolidate on the gains already recorded.

Uwakwe explained that the administration’s massive infrastructural renewal, improved road networks, installation of streetlights and enhanced security had significantly boosted business activities and restored confidence among traders.

He further emphasized that members of the group strongly believe that there is “No Vacancy in Government House, Umuahia” in 2027, adding that the declaration was not mere rhetoric but a commitment backed by action.

According to him, all members of the group possess their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and are ready to use them to support the governor’s re-election.

He also called on all eligible voters in Abia State, particularly traders and residents, to obtain their PVCs in order to participate actively in the electoral process.

Uwakwe added that traders at Ariaria International Market have always demonstrated strong political awareness and participation, noting that in Ariaria Ward 9 alone there are about 23 polling units.

As the coordinator of the chapter, he expressed confidence that Governor Otti would secure victory across all the polling units in the ward.

Also speaking, the Woman Leader of the group, Lolo Chidinma Obia, commended Governor Otti for what she described as his impactful leadership and commitment to the welfare of the people.

She observed that the governor had changed the narrative of governance in Abia State and given residents a renewed sense of hope and dignity.

According to her, the ongoing infrastructural renewal across the state has improved the quality of life for many residents.

She particularly highlighted the rehabilitation and construction of roads across Aba, noting that the improved road network had made movement easier for traders and residents.

Lolo Obia recalled that in the past, many traders came to the market wearing rubber slippers due to the deplorable condition of the roads, especially during the rainy season, but added that the situation had changed significantly following the extensive road projects executed by the current administration.

She stated that the visible improvements in infrastructure and security had motivated members of the group to mobilize support for the governor’s re-election in 2027 so that he could continue the development initiatives already in place.

The Woman Leader also called on women across the state to obtain their PVCs and mobilize support at the grassroots level for the governor, noting that his leadership had restored hope and brought smiles to the faces of many residents.

In her remarks, the Deputy Woman Leader of the group, Ogechi Ukwuoma, also applauded Governor Otti for what she described as his impressive performance in office.

She assured that women across the state were ready to come out en masse during the next election to support his re-election, noting that members of the group had already obtained their PVCs and were committed to participating actively in the democratic process.

Ukwuoma expressed strong confidence that the governor would secure victory in the 2027 election, adding that his performance had endeared him to the people.

Contributing, the Abia Central Youth Leader of Dr. Alex Otti Ambassadors, Eze Godswill Emegharaibe, stated that the reward for hard work is greater responsibility.

He noted that Governor Otti had distinguished himself as a visionary and result-oriented leader within a short period in office, adding that the transformation taking place across the state was clear evidence of purposeful leadership.

Emegharaibe observed that the speed and scale of development recorded under the current administration indicate that the governor would achieve even greater results if given another mandate.

He therefore called on the youths of Abia State to come out in large numbers during the 2027 election to support Governor Otti’s re-election, maintaining that the governor’s performance has set him apart as a leader committed to the progress and development of the state.

The interactive session ended with members of the Dr. Alex Otti Ambassadors, Ariaria International Market Chapter reaffirming their commitment to mobilizing traders, women and youths across the state in support of Governor Otti’s continued leadership beyond 2027.
