Bishop Eze John Isaac Goes Home in Grand Style
The remains of Bishop Eze John Isaac, the Founder and General Overseer of His Glory Bible Church at No. 99 Ulasi Road, Off East Street, Aba were laid to rest in a grand style at his beautiful Akamili, Umudim country home in Nnewi North local government area of Anambra State on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The open-air funeral service was conducted by His Glory Bible Church, Aba and officiated by Bishop Prof. Chris Chukwuemerie Madu.
It attracted the presence of a galaxy of Bishops, pastors, reverends and other anointed men of God including relations, in-laws, friends, members of His Glory Bible Church, staff, pupils and students of Pace International Academy and Pace Seminary Secondary School, Aba, executive and members of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Abia State, Aba South Chapter, and other dignitaries from far and near.
In his sermon taken from Rev. 14:13, “And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them”, His Grace, Archbishop Dr. Goddy Okafor, the Founder and General Overseer of Glorious Life Gospel Centre, GLGC (a.k.a Peculiar People Ministry International Inc) at No. 2, Alex Onyeador Close, Aba who is also the Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Southeast Zone said that death is a blessing when you die in the Lord but a disturbing tragedy if you are not born-again.
He described the death of the righteous as a blessing stressing that when the righteous die, they go home to be with the Lord.
According to him, everybody must leave this planet-earth one day but what is important is not death per se or how or where or when you died but rather the question is whether you died in the Lord.
He admonished Christians not to be afraid of death and urged those who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour to do so without delay adding that they would no longer be afraid of death because they know where they are going if they die.
He described the late Bishop Eze John Isaac as a prayer warrior, humble and visionary servant of God whose ministry affected so many lives and gave birth to numerous sons and daughters who are well-known today as great servants of God.
He condoled the bereaved family and told them to take solace in the fact that Bishop Eze John Isaac, the Biagburugburu of Igbo land has gone back to his maker.
He eulogized the wife of the deceased, Rev. Mrs. Victoria Eze Isaac as a virtuous, humble, hardworking, caring, faithful and God-fearing woman and appreciated her for taking very good care of her late husband, especially when he became very sick till he died.
At the end of his homily, he prayed for God to grant the soul of the deceased a peaceful rest till they meet to part no more and implored Him to grant his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss, to prosper them and replenish whatever they spent in trying to save his life as well as in giving him a befitting burial.
He also prayed for the ministry he left behind to continue to grow from strength to strength.
In his biography read by his daughter, Mrs. Chinenye Joy Urunwa Ndubuisi Odimba, the deceased family expressed deep sorrow on his demise adding that it has left a very big vacuum, which no human being can fill.
They described him as a very good family man, a prayer warrior and dedicated servant of God who was always guided by his faith in God in whatever he did throughout his lifetime and promised to sustain his enviable legacies.
In their tribute read by Bishop Prof. Chris Chukwuemerie Madu, the Fellowship of Independent Ministers described the deceased as a leading pioneer member of the association and a true servant of God.
They expressed deep sorrow over his death describing it as a rude shock and prayed God to grant them, his family and others the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
In their condolence message, the Aba Pentecostal Elders Caucus expressed shock on the demise of Bishop Eze John Isaac describing him as their active member and dedicated servant of God who gave his best to God and humanity.
They prayed the Almighty God to grant his soul eternal rest till they meet to part no more.
On their part, the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Abia State, Aba South Chapter led by the chairman, Dr. Temple Nwosu (JP 2) commiserated with the wife of the deceased, Rev. Mrs. Victoria Isaac who is an executive member of the Association and the entire family on the demise of Bishop Eze John Isaac.
They described him as a great man of God who touched so many lives through his ministry adding that his death is not just a loss to the family alone, but also a loss to all of them.
They assured them of their support in their trying moment and prayed God to comfort and protect them.
The burial featured several events including choir ministration by His Glory Voices, offering, prayers for the bereaved family and the unveiling of four books written by the late Bishop Eze John Isaac namely Dynamic Christian Faith, Voice of Wisdom, Rudiments of Philosophy and Evangelism At Large as an enduring tribute to his legacy.
In their response, the bereaved family appreciated all for coming to bid their beloved husband and father final goodbye as well as for their prayers and support.
They prayed God to lead them safely back to their various destinations.
After the funeral service, the remains of Bishop Eze John Isaac were committed to mother-earth in his compound leaving behind a trail of emotions as well as memories that would never be forgotten by all those who knew him.
Immediately after interment, the large turnout of sympathizers were greatly entertained. They ate, drank, danced and also paid condolences to the bereaved family.
Aged 75 years, Bishop Eze John Isaac died in the early hours of December 23, 2024.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rev. Mrs. Victoria Isaac, three amazing children namely Mrs. Chinenye Joy Urunwa Ndubuisi Odimba, Sir Joshua Ifeanyi Isaac and Mr. Joseph Ikechukwu Isaac (D Professor) including brothers, sisters, uncles and others too numerous to mention.
His sojourn into the ministry began in early September 1972 at United Church of Christ (UCC) where he served in several capacities as minister-in-charge, district superintendent, member of the supreme council and the personal interpreter to the General Overseer of UCC, the late Apostle Samuel Egbo.
After serving for some years in Aba Circuit as a Superintendent, he resigned and started His Glory Bible Church Inc in 1991.
The burial was a huge success and attracted the presence of so many people from far and near.

Emma Igbokwe, Evangelist Sam Okonkwo, Pastor Stephen Okorie, Pastor Chike Nwokolo, Pastor Kenneth Onuoha, Rev. Mac Obolo, Pastor Chris Ujiagbo, Elder Paul Ulasi, Mrs. Olivia Chidinma Igwe and her husband, Mr. Kingsley Igwe, Mrs. Chinasa Roseline Kalu, Elder Wilson Agomuo, Ajah Orji among others.
