CIPDM Inducts Olewengwa, Esiaba, Others As Fellows
The Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (CIPDM) has inducted His Worship Dr. Diamond O. Olewengwa, His Worship Dr. Emmanuel A. Esiaba, Mr. Etukudoh Edet Asuquo, Nkume Ijeoma Oluchi, Chief Reuben Clifford Wilson, Mrs. Boelemokume Katherine Evans, Dr. Isaac James Udoka, Mr. Davidson Mmanwoke and others into its Professional Membership Grade of Fellow, the highest award of the prestigious Institute.
The induction ceremony took place at the Azny Place, GRA, Port Harcourt on Saturday, August 24, 2024 after a successful professional training programme on Adopting Diplomacy As A Guide To Conflict Resolution, Leadership and Management as well as Psychology of Influence and Persuasion Through Diplomacy in Enhancing Organizational Growth.
The Award of Fellow empowers the participants to train others both within and outside the nation in diplomatic leadership and management.
In his speech, the National President/Chairman, Governing Council of the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management (CIPDM), Prof. Mike Ikupolati commended the inductees on their admission into the prestigious Institute.
He said that the Institute is well known for its high professional excellence in public diplomacy and management and charged them to be good Ambassadors of the Institute anywhere they are or any leadership position they find themselves.
Highpoints of the induction ceremony with the theme, “Developing Diplomatic Professionals with Global Mindset were the presentation of Award and Certificate of Participation to the inductees by Prof. Mike Ikupolati.
In a chat with newsmen, one of the inductees, Dr. Diamond O. Olewengwa expressed delight to be part of the ceremony as one of the Fellow awardees.
The renowned legal Colossus and prominent son of the late traditional ruler of Amasa Ancient Kingdom in Osisioma Ngwa local government area of Abia State and the longest reigned monarch in the Southeast, HRM Eze Dr. Philip Nwachinemere Olewengwa appreciated the untiring efforts of Prof. Mike Ikupolati in expanding the institute’s frontiers beyond the nation.
Apart from adding a new feather in his robust credentials (FCIPDM, AMNIM, AICMC, APJ, PhD), Dr. Diamond O. Olewengwa said that the lessons he learnt from the training programme would continue to guide his utterances, views or actions always.
Dr. Diamond O. Olewengwa is the Chief Magistrate, Customary Court of Appeal, Umuahia and the Chairman, Association of Judges of the Customary Court of Nigeria (AJUCON), Abia State Chapter.
He has served Abia State and the nation in various capacities. He was a Special Adviser to former Abia State Governor, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu (MON) Deputy Chairman, Governing Board of Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), member, Nigerian Institute of Management, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators, Coordinator, Amnesty International, Aba Group (1999-2000), Ambassador of Peace and Justice of Amnesty International among others.
Dr. Diamond O. Olewengwa is a prolific writer, member, Academic Legal Writers Association of Nigeria and author of so many books including You And The Law, Law As It Is, Focus On Land Law in Nigeria among others.
