Hon. Dame Blessing Nwagba, PhD, has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his giant strides in the nation, especially in the Southeast geo-political zone at an enlarged APC Meeting of Aba North held at Hotel De Ville, No. 10, Okigwe Road, Aba on Monday, May 19, 2025 stressing that it is time to reward him by sending him back to Aso Rock in 2027 having done so well within a very short time in office.
In her opening remarks, Hon. Dame Blessing Okwuchi Nwagba who convened and hosted the APC stakeholders meeting of Renewed Hope Partners in Aba North LGA at her Aba residence on Friday, May 9, 2025 to deliver the message of the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu to them
disclosed that the meeting was a vital step in mobilizing more people into the party and ensuring that they remain united and resolute in delivering President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
She described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a courageous leader who does not bow down to fear or pressure saying that he is not responsible for the nation’s current economic hardships and security challenges.
According to the legendary political Amazon and APC Senatorial candidate for Abia South in the 2023 election, things have been so bad before now and President Tinubu is doing his best to right all wrongs and should be supported to finish all his good works in the nation.
She said that President Tinubu deserves prestigious accolades and resounding applause for taking tough decisions that have repositioned the nation as a sovereign economic powerhouse and a destination of choice for global investment.
She noted that the nation has witnessed tremendous developments in so many sectors of its economy within President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s first two years in office describing it as amazing despite gargantuan challenges.
She commended him for the removal of fuel subsidy, which she said, though, biting has made positive impact in the nation’s economy.
The two-time quintessential legislator and SDP Gubernatorial candidate in Abia State in the 2019 election disclosed that it is because of the removal of fuel subsidy that Governors of the 36 states of the nation now receive up to three or four times more than what they used to get before stressing that the governors should be held responsible for most of the things that are not done in their various states because they should now have enough money to manage the states well.
She also lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his milestone achievements in the Southeast geo-political zone, especially the creation of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) adding that it is a testament to his
deep commitment to transforming the Southeast and improving the lives of the people through strategic execution of developmental projects.
She thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment of Emeka Wogu as the chairman of South East Development Commission (SEDC) adding that his enviable scorecard as one-time Minister of Labour and Productivity holds great promises of translating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s initiative into concrete reality.
She appreciated the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu for his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and Renewed Hope Agenda.
She expressed profound gratitude to him for spending his money and doing so many great things to ensure that APC waxes stronger in Abia State, the entire Southeast and the nation.
She described him as a quintessential politician and a special blessing to Abia State, the Southeast and the nation at large adding that since he assumed office he has demonstrated pragmatic leadership and unwavering commitment to the development of the Southeast geo-political.
Speaking, Rt. Hon. Uzo Azubuike disclosed that preparations are in top gear for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 stressing that the meeting would provide a space to discuss ways on how to strengthen the All Progressives Alliance (APC) in Aba North and Abia State in general ahead of the 2027 election.
He commended the stakeholders of the party, local government/ward executives and the entire party members in Aba North for turning out in their numbers for the meeting.
He told them that there is no going back on the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027 stressing that it is time for Abia State and the entire Southeast to reward him for all the remarkable things he has done for them.
He recalled that Abia State gave Tinubu 4% votes in the 2023 election but despite the party’s poor showing in the state, he gave the state top political positions in the nation.
He commended President Tinubu for the emergence of Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, the only APC member of the House of Representatives as the Deputy Speaker, including the establishment of South East Development Commission (SEDC) and appointing an Aba man, Chief Emeka Wogu as its chairman, Rt. Hon. Stanley Ohajuruka as the Executive Director (Finance and Administration) and other Abians to various positions in the SEDC despite that Abia State gave him only 4% vote in the 2023 election.
Hon. Uzo Azubuike, a renowned political Colossus in Abia State and former member, House of Representatives for Aba North and Aba South Federal Constituency described President Tinubu as a leader with a heart of gold and emphasized that his major concern is to make APC in Aba North viable so as to give them the leverage of re-electing President Tinubu as well as producing House of Assembly members, House of Representatives members, Senators, Governors and so on in the 2027 election.
He noted that the party did not do well in the state in the 2023 election not because it did not have many members but because of selfishness.
He urged all APC members in Aba North both the leadership and followership to eschew politics of bitterness, greed, back-biting or pull-him-down syndrome and embrace transparency and accountability in order to win so many political positions in the 2027 election.
He appreciated all for their presence and made a handsome donation to encourage them to show more commitment to party.
On his part, the state chairman of APC, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu represented by Sir Justice Onwumelu, the APC Abia South Zonal chairman expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of party members.
He assured them that there is only one united APC in Abia State adding that President Tinubu would go again.
He told them the APC would continue to thrive in the nation and charged them to mobilize more members into the party to make it stronger in Abia State.
In their separate speeches, the State Woman Leader, Mrs. Chino C. Erondu, the APC Chairman, Aba North, Nze Tony Onyeforo, Hon. Prince Stanley Ogbonna, Hon. Uba Omenazu, Comrade Uche Moses among others thanked all for attending the meeting and expressed optimism that with unity of purpose they would actualize all their goals.
In her closing remarks, Hon. Dame Blessing Nwagba thanked all for attending the meeting and wished them safe journey back to their various destinations.
