Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Collins Iheonunekwu (Ochake), the member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency and Chief Damian Ozurumba (Onuochi Foundation) were among the notable dignitaries that graced the Coronation of HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka (Eze Udo 1) of Amaputa in Isiala Ngwa North local government area of Abia State.

The epoch-making event took place at Amaputa Community School Playground with unprecedented pomp on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

In his speech, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe (Onwa) congratulated HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka on his Coronation as the Eze Udo 1 of Amaputa Autonomous Community saying that it is not easy to be chosen out of other illustrious sons of the community who are also eminently qualified for the position.

He appreciated the people for choosing HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka as their traditional ruler describing him as a square peg in a square hole and urged them to sustain their support for him and contribute their own quota towards the development of the community.

He expressed optimism that HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka would not disappoint the confidence reposed in him and prayed God to grant him good health, long life, prosperity and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the community to greater heights adding that the community would witness remarkable achievements throughout his reign going by his erudition, sterling leadership qualities, dedication and unparalleled philanthropy.

He also congratulated all the people that bagged chieftaincy titles. He reminded them that to whom much is given, much is expected and urged them not to relent in their good works that made them to be honoured to further strengthen the existing atmosphere of peace, unity and progress in the community.

Also speaking, Hon. Collins Iheonunekwu (Ochake) congratulated HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka on his Coronation and wished him a peaceful and successful reign.

He described the event as historic and urged him to make peace, security and progress the focal points of his rulership.

He called on the people to join hands with him in moving the community forward.

On his part, Azubuike Linus Okechukwu, the CEO, RDK Resources (Security and Genealogy Research Experts) described the Coronation of HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka as well-deserved and expressed confidence that he would bring his legal expertise, vast experience and powerful connections to bear in moving the community forward.

In his response, HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka expressed profound gratitude to the good people of Amaputa Autonomous Community for their love and support, members of Isiala Ngwa North Council of Traditional Rulers and their Isiala Ngwa South counterparts for gracing the occasion in their numbers, the Eze-in-Council, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. Ginger Onwusibe, the member representing Isiala Ngwa North State Constituency, Hon. Collins Iheonunekwu (Ochake), Chief Damian Ozurumba and other notable personalities for finding time to grace the occasion despite their ever-busy schedule.

HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka thanked God for keeping them alive to celebrate his enthronement as the Eze Udo 1 of Amaputa Autonomous Community.

He described it as a dream come true and assured the people that he would not disappoint their expectations.

According to the legal luminary, legendary philanthropist and former Registrar of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Abuja, the revival and promotion of their rich cultural heritage, which has kept them together for a very long time is a top priority of his rulership.

The second thing is a passionate appeal to the state government to come to the aid of his community, which he said has been neglected for a very long time.

He said that he would collaborate with all their representatives at various levels to attract government presence to their community, especially in the areas of electricity to encourage the establishment of local industries, building and renovation of schools, health centres among others.

HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka promised to synergize with law enforcement and security agencies in the state to ensure continued peace and adequate security in his community as well as to empower the youth through skill acquisition programmes adding that some of them would be engaged by the Community Vigilante.

He promised to carry the people along in piloting the affairs of the community and urged them to sustain their support for him.

HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka lauded the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) for his remarkable achievements within a short time in office.

He pledged their total support for his administration and prayed that God would help him to do more in the years ahead.

He appreciated the Mayor of Isiala Ngwa North local government area, Ambassador Innocent Uruakpa for his good works and appealed to him to remember his community.

The ceremony featured cultural dances, blessing of the throne/coronation, conferment of chieftaincy titles on some well deserving personalities among others.

One of the chieftaincy recipients, Enyioma Monday Joseph (Nze Nwajiugonnaya 1 of Amaputa) appreciated HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka for the honour done him.

He promised to sustain his support for him as well as to contribute his own quota to the development of the community.

The ceremony was a huge success and attracted the presence of so many traditional rulers including HRM Eze Okechukwu Atulobi, the chairman, Isiala Ngwa North Council of Traditional Rulers, HRM Eze Okezie Clement Nwokonko, the Ohabike 1 of Uga Eziama Ntigha Autonomous Community, HRM Eze Dandy Ogalabu, Archdeacon Nwosu James Chinyere, Chief E. C. Ahiwe (Ikuku Evu Nkume 1 of Ala Ngwa), Rev. Christian Oluchukwu Dimgba, the President General, Amaputa Development Union among others.

In his vote of thanks, HRH Eze Barr. Onyema Evuka thanked everybody that graced the occasion and prayed God to bless them and lead them safely back to their various destinations.

At the end, all roads led his palace for an unforgettable reception.
