HRH Eze Israel Amaechi’s Coronation Attracts VIPs to Ibeme
The hitherto serene ambience of Ibeme Ancient Kingdom in Obingwa local government area of Abia State came alive on Friday, January 3, 2025 as a galaxy of distinguished personalities from all walks of life came to witness the coronation of HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi as the Omepuru Onyeoduru 111 of Ibeme Ancient Kingdom.
The historic event held at Ibeme High School, Obete Ukwu in an atmosphere of love, unity and peace.
In his speech, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) represented by Prof. Joel Ogbonna, the Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources congratulated HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi on his coronation and charged him to lead the people with the fear of God.
He told the people to sustain their support for their traditional ruler and continue to remain united, peaceful and law-abiding.
He lauded Dr. Alex Chioma Otti’s monumental achievements in the state adding that he has commenced the construction of Ohanze, Ntighauzor, Obete Road in the area, which the contractor told him would be completed early this year before raining season.
He assured them that the community would witness a lot of transformations under the present administration of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti including the renovation of health centres and schools.
He said that Dr. Alex Chioma Otti has made them proud by appointing him and other sons and daughters of Obingwa in his administration as well as his numerous projects in the area and urged them to continue to support him.
In his remarks, the senator representing Abia South Senatorial District, distinguished Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe represented by Chief Mrs. Uwaoma Olewengwa, an illustrious daughter of Ibeme and indomitable Amazon thanked the people of Ibeme Ancient Kingdom for choosing HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi as their traditional ruler.
He described him as humble, dependable, hardworking, God-fearing and
eminently qualified to pilot the affairs of the community to greater heights.
He recalled his good relationship with the people of Ibeme and urged them to continue to remain united, peaceful, law-abiding, hardworking as well as to sustain their support for their traditional ruler.
In his address, HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi appreciated the people of Ibeme Ancient Kingdom for finding him worthy to be their traditional ruler and promised not to disappoint their expectations.
He assured them that he would serve them with the fear of God and always stand on the path of truth and justice.
He restated their total support to Dr. Alex Chioma Otti’s administration adding that they have not had it so good like this since the creation of Abia State in 1991.
Highlights of the occasion were cultural dances and conferment of chieftaincy titles on well-deserving personalities.
Some of those honoured were Chief Ifeanyi Ogbonna (Chief Uwa bu nke Onye of Ibeme) and his wife, Lolo Onyinyechi Ogbonna, Hon. Chief Elder Uzoma Nwogu (Ome ihe Jide Ofor 1 of Ibeme Ancient Kingdom) and his wife, Lolo Rachel Uzoma, Chief Isaac Nwulu (Dike Oha 1 of Ibeme Ancient Kingdom) among others.
In their separate speeches, they expressed profound gratitude to HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi and the entire community for the honour done them and assured him of their continued loyalty and support as well as immense contributions to the development of the community.
The occasion climaxed with presentation of award to HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi and entertainment at his palace.
The occasion attracted the presence of distinguished personalities from all walks of life, traditional rulers and the Mayor of Obingwa LGA, Hon. Maxwell Nwadike, Mrs. Princess Chinwendu Edoziem and her husband Emmanuel Edoziem, Elder Christian Ogbonna, among others.
HRH Eze Israel Nwanjuobi Amaechi is married to Ugoeze (Mother) Roseline Uzoamaka Israel and their marriage is blessed with lovely children.
