HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu’s Coronation Pulls Crowd

It was a gathering of who-is-who in Osisioma Ngwa and beyond as HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu, the Eze Chimere 11 of Alaoma Autonomous Community in Osisioma Ngwa local government area celebrated his coronation with unprecedented pomp.

The spectacular occasion held at Owor/Umuosi Primary School Field on Thursday, December 26, 2024 under the distinguished chairmanship of Chief Apollos Onwuasoaku, former Traditional Prime Minister of Alaoma Autonomous Community.

In his opening remarks, Chief Apollos Onwuasoaku expressed great satisfaction with the large turnout of notable dignitaries from far and near and the good people of Alaoma Autonomous Community describing it as a testament to his overwhelming popularity and acceptance by the people.

He enjoined him to lead them with the fear of God and stand for truth, justice, equity and fairness at all times no matter whose ox is gored.

In his homily, Evangelist Patrick Nnamdi Ofulue, the Senior Pastor, Revelation and Power Ministry International (The City of Grace) who came all the way from Asaba, Delta State described the ascension of HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu to the throne as divine.

The popular man of God who is a very good friend of HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu expressed confidence that he would live up to expectations and advised him to make God the bedrock of his rulership.

He stressed the need for him to be impartial in dispensing justice so as to attract God’s numerous blessings to his community.

He expressed confidence that his reign would bring peace, unity and development to the community and urged the people of Alaoma Autonomous Community both at home and in the Diaspora to support him to make the community proud and wished him long life, good health and peaceful reign.

Speaking during the consecration of his throne and installation by the traditional rulers of Osisioma Ngwa, HRM Eze Chidi Obisike Nkoro (KSC, JP), the chairman, Osisioma Ngwa Traditional Rulers Council appreciated the people for choosing HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu as their traditional ruler and urged them to sustain their support for him.

He encouraged HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu to carry them along in the affairs of the community and lead them with the fear of God.

In his speech, HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu expressed profound gratitude to God for keeping them alive to celebrate his coronation and appreciated all those that graced the occasion for their love and support.

He appreciated the entire people of Alaoma Autonomous Community for finding him worthy to be their traditional ruler and promised to make them proud.

He assured them of his determination to promote their socio-economic and
cultural well-being, peaceful coexistence with their neighbouring communities as well as liaising with the government with a view to attracting social infrastructure to the community among others.

He lauded the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) for his remarkable leadership and monumental achievements in the state and assured him of their unwavering support to his administration.

He appealed to the performing Governor of Abia State to provide electricity for them as well as to tar their road so as to alleviate their plight, especially during the rainy season.

Highlights of the occasion were the conferment of chieftaincy titles and presentation of awards to well-deserving personalities.

The ceremony was a huge success and attracted the presence of so many dignitaries including the member representing Osisioma Ngwa South State Constituency, Hon. Fyne Ahuama, the Mayor of Osisioma Ngwa LGA, Hon. Chief Chidi Christian Agu represented by his Deputy, Hon. Chief Ugochukwu Victor Nwogu, Hon. High Chief Bestman Igwe Nwaka (Pillar 1 of Ngwa land), Ogbonna Vincent Uche Esq among others.

HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu is the second traditional ruler of Alaoma Autonomous Community.

He hails from Umuochulor in Umuosi village, Alaoma Autonomous Community, Osisioma Ngwa LGA.

He is married to Ugoeze Uchenna Ogonna Nwogu, the Nneoha 11 of Alaoma Autonomous Community and their marriage is blessed with lovely children.

I am so happy for the award presented to me in appreciation of my selfless service to the community over the years. I have served many traditional rulers in my place. So, I receive it with joy. It is a call to serve.

My name is Joy Omenihu. I am the wife of the Traditional Prime Minister of Alaoma Autonomous Community. I am so happy for the honour done us by our traditional ruler and the entire community. It would ginger us to do more for our people. I wish our traditional ruler long life, good health and God’s protection.

I am so happy for the award presented to me. My prayer is that our community would continue to remain peaceful and united. This award makes me to understand that every good deed has a reward and having been honoured today in appreciation of my selfless service to our community over the years, it would move me to show more commitment to the betterment of our people and community.

Chief Ikesinachi Chinyere                  (Ochuariri 1 of Alaoma Autonomous Community).

I feel so happy and I thank God for the chieftaincy title conferred on me in recognition of my services to God and humanity. I have done a lot to ensure that there is peace, unity and progress in our community. I have empowered so many youths as well as widows in our community. I have also sustained my support to ensure that we have steady power supply in our community. So, the chieftaincy title would ginger me to continue doing my best to make everybody happy.

 High Chief Dr. Isaac Akajiofor                   (Dike Akola Mba I of Alaoma Autonomous Community)

I am from Umuojima Ogbu. I appreciate the chieftaincy title conferred on me by HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu. I will support him to make sure that there is peace, unity and progress in Alaoma Autonomous Community.

My name is Lolo Ogechi Isaac Akajiofor. I am very happy for the chieftaincy title conferred on my husband and I will support him to make the community proud.

I am so happy for the chieftaincy title conferred on me. I am from Umuojima Okereke. I thank HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu and the entire community for honouring me. I will not disappoint their expectations. I will sustain my support for them to ensure that there is peace, unity and progress in their community.

I am Lolo Chinasa Otutu. I am so happy. I will support my husband to discharge his duties creditably.

I am very happy that God gave us a young traditional ruler (Eze Nwokoro Obia). HRH Eze John Chinedu Nwogu is a man of the people that is why we chose him as our traditional ruler. I wish him long life, good health and God’s protection as he pilots the affairs of our community to greater height.

Peace Iheanacho Sunday. I am so happy. It is a good thing for us. Our traditional ruler is a young man. He has a heart of gold and he would rule us well.
