HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku’s Palace of Hope was agog on Thursday, December 12, 2024 following his conferment of prestigious chieftaincy titles on well-deserving personalities.
In his opening remarks, the popular, ebullient, eloquent, indefatigable, quintessential and God-fearing ‘Anyaoha’ 111 of Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community in Obingwa local government area of Abia thanked God for keeping them alive to host the event.
The Royal Father said that there is nothing bad about conferment of chieftaincy titles on some individuals in recognition of their selfless services to God and humanity.
He urged them to cherish the chieftaincy titles conferred on them and ensure that peace, justice and truth prevail wherever they are and also refrain from doing anything that would tarnish their image adding that their status has changed, henceforth.
Thereafter, Chief George Ubani Ogbonna was decorated as High Chief ‘Oga Tuo Onye Odi Mkpa’ in recognition of his selfless services to the community.
In his speech after his decoration and presentation of certificate to him, High Chief George Ubani Ogbonna thanked HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku for promoting him in his kingdom from Chief to High Chief and promised to support him in piloting the affairs of the community to greater heights.
Nze Okezie Simeon was conferred with the chieftaincy title of ‘Omekannaya’ for his contributions to the development of the community.
He appreciated HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku for the honour done him and promised to support him in bringing development in Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community.
Chief Engr. Okezie Egbu bagged the prestigious chieftaincy title of ‘Ubazuo Oha’ 1 of Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community.
The amiable and handsome young man and his lovely wife, Elizabeth Okezie thanked God for the honour done them.
They appreciated HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku for finding them worthy of such outstanding recognition in his domain adding that the chieftaincy title would spur them to do more for the community.
Chief Nnachi Orji Chima, an illustrious son of Afikpo South in Ebonyi State was decorated as ‘Aku Chinyere’ 1 of Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community.
The legendary philanthropist and successful businessman was accompanied to the event by his beautiful wife, Lolo Ngozi Nnachi Orji, Nnachi Arua, relatives, friends, well wishers, business associates and a galaxy of distinguished personalities including indigenes of Ebonyi State from far and near.
The handsome and fair-complexioned young man appreciated the traditional ruler of Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku for the honour done him in recognition of his integrity and enormous contributions to the development of the community.
He said that he grew up in Aba and since he started living in Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community that he has never had problem with the people.
He described the community as his second home adding that the chieftaincy title would encourage him to do more for the community.
Similarly, his pretty wife, Lolo Ngozi Nnachi Orji expressed great satisfaction with the outstanding chieftaincy title conferred on her husband.
She said that it is not easy to come to a place that is not your village or state and be honoured emphasizing that for them to confer chieftaincy title on her husband shows that they love them so much.
She maintained that their overwhelming love for them has equally made her and the entire family to accept them wholeheartedly as their own people and ever ready to do anything that would bring development to the community.
Chief Emmanuel Benson from Umuagu in Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community was decorated as the ‘Izuakola Mba’ 1 of Ahiaba Autonomous Community for his contributions to the development of the community.
Speaking after their decoration, the legendary philanthropist and his lovely wife, Lolo Uloaku Emmanuel Benson thanked the traditional ruler, his cabinet and the entire community for the honour done them.
They promised to remain good Ambassadors of the community and to sustain their support for the development of the community.
Victor Nwaobilor Olukaikpe was decorated as ‘Mmiri Mara Ugo’ 1 of Ikeala Ahiaba Autonomous Community.
The senior law enforcement officer appreciated HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku for finding him worthy to be honoured by him and the entire community assuring that it would motivate him to ensure adequate security in the community.
Onyeka Onyeiri bagged the chieftaincy title of ‘Ahafuruibe Udo Adi’ and promised to do his best to support the development of the community.
In his response on behalf of the chieftaincy honorees, Chief Nnachi Orji Chima expressed profound gratitude to HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku and his cabinet for honouring them as well as all those who graced the occasion for their love and support.
He assured HRH Eze Nnamdi Ahuwa Njoku, his cabinet and the entire community of their continued support towards the development of the community as well as to give the Palace of the traditional ruler urgent attention.
The event climaxed with merriment and attracted the presence of distinguished personalities.
