OZO KING SOTO MARKS END OF YEAR 2025 WITH FANFARE .COMMISSIONS CROWN KINGS HOTEL
The ancient town of Umuogwoka, Eziama Ntigha in Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area of Abia State came alive on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, as renowned herbal medicine practitioner, notable philanthropist and leading APC chieftain in Abia State, Uzoukwu Nkwuzor, popularly known as Ozo King Soto, marked the end of the year 2025 in grand style with the official opening of his state-of-the-art Crown Kings Hotel amid a colourful carnival.
The grand ceremony attracted a large crowd comprising community members, friends, well-wishers, captains of industry, traditional rulers, youth and women groups, as well as notable politicians and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from far and near.
Cutting the ceremonial tape to formally unveil the hospitality outfit, the guest of honour and APC chieftain in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Engr. Alozie Solomon, praised Ozo King Soto for his perseverance, vision and commitment to community development.
He described the project as a welcome development and a major boost to the local economy, noting that it would create jobs, promote tourism and raise the profile of Eziama Ntigha. He urged other well-meaning sons and daughters of the area to emulate such a laudable initiative.
He further noted that many states across the nation had joined the APC and called on Abia State to follow suit without delay in order to experience the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Other prominent speakers who took turns to address the gathering, including Hon. Nkoro Chinedu, the ward chairman of Amasa Ntigha, Chief Innocent Alaribe, Comrade Nmesorionye, High Chief Chinedu Okeogu, Enyi Oha I of Ntigha Ancient Kingdom, and Ugochukwu Onyekachi, popularly known as Sanko Worldwide, commended Ozo King Soto for his consistency and determination. They revealed that the hotel project had been a long-time dream that finally came to fruition.
They highlighted his contributions to community growth, youth empowerment and political organization, describing the hotel as a legacy investment that would serve generations and provide employment opportunities for all and sundry.
In his response, a visibly elated Ozo King Soto explained that he embarked on the hotel project to provide quality, affordable and serene accommodation within the Ngwa axis, while also creating employment opportunities for local people.
He disclosed that the project, which commenced in 2003, took over two decades to complete due to financial and economic challenges, but his belief in patience and hard work kept him going.
According to him, Crown Kings Hotel (Home Away From Home), located along Umuogwoka Road, off Eziama–Ntigha Road, is equipped with modern facilities including tastefully furnished rooms, a standard restaurant and exotic bar, uninterrupted power supply, ample parking space, 24-hour security, an event centre for parties, weddings, conferences and meetings, steady water supply, and a serene environment suitable for relaxation and business engagements.
Speaking on politics, Ozo King Soto used the occasion to reaffirm his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that unity and collective effort within the party would guarantee victory for the APC in Abia State in the 2027 general elections. He called on party members to remain focused, disciplined and supportive of one another.
The event also witnessed the presentation of an APC face cap to Ozo King Soto by Hon. Darlington Chiemela Ezekiel, the Abia State Coordinator of National Eye for Equity and Development for Tinubu 2027.
They lauded Ozo King Soto as a formidable grassroots politician, a great mobilizer, a renowned team player, a notable philanthropist and a dependable ally, describing him as “a big catch” for the APC in Abia State.
In his response, Ozo King Soto thanked the group for gracing the occasion and for the honour bestowed on him. He assured them of his continued loyalty, support and unwavering commitment to the party’s ideals and aspirations.
The celebration was richly spiced with a carnival of Ngwa cultural heritage, featuring Oha Ngwa cultural masquerades, colourful displays by the Abia State Ministry of Arts and Culture, Atu Ntigha, Enyi Eziama, Ogbu Oja na Uga, as well as thrilling performances by a live band, among others.
The event climaxed in an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie, as guests engaged in eating, drinking, dancing and general merriment, marking the occasion as one of the most memorable end-of-year celebrations in the area.
