Alex Otti’s Four Months in Office Better than PDP’s 24 Years Rule in Abia State

Thursday, October 12, 2023 was an unforgettable day in the history of Aba and the entire Abia State.
On that epoch-making day, the dynamic and visionary Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) flagged off the reconstruction of the long abandoned strategic Port Harcourt Road, Aba to the admiration of all and sundry.
According to Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, the project would be handled by renowned road construction giant, Julius Berger (Nig.) Ltd.
The joy of the people knew no bounds as they danced and showered unending encomiums on Dr. Alex Chioma Otti for his unwavering determination to alleviate their plight.
The ceremony was a huge success and well attended by notable personalities from far and near including the wife of the governor, Her Excellency, (Mrs.) Priscilla Otti, the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Emeruwa, the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha, the CEO of Udeagbala Holdings, Ide John C. Udeagbala, the Group Managing Director of Julius Berger Nig.Ltd, Dr. Lars Richter, the chairman of Ariaria International Market, Aba, Comrade Ozoekwe Chikadibia among others.
Later In the evening, Dr. Alex Otti also attended the Certification Ceremony of Grand Patrons and Stakeholders of Eziukwu Road Market, Aba held at Aba Sports Club.
He was at home with the traders and at the end, he presented certificates to some of the honorees.

According to the popular, amiable, humble, ebullient, forthright, eloquent, quintessential, God-fearing and indefatigable leader of the largest and most popular market in Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) has earned for himself an automatic second term in office because of his giant strides within a short time in office, especially the flag off of the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road, Aba.
He stated that his stellar performance in all sectors of the state within four months in office has surpassed the twenty four years of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) government in Abia State. Excerpts.

I am Comrade Ozoekwe Chikadibia, the chairman of Ariaria International Market, Aba.
How you feel about the flag off of the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road, Aba today?
Today is a remarkable day in the life of all Aba residents and indigenes of Abia State because what has never happened before since the creation of Abia State took place in the popular Enyimba City today to the surprise and admiration of all and sundry. The Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) flagged off the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road, Aba, which was abandoned by past administrations for over two decades. So we are all very happy to witness the epoch-making event. We give God all the glory and believe that we would witness the completion of the project at record time.
Can you tell us why you are at Aba Sports Club this evening?
After the flag off today, the Eziukwu Road Market, Aba Interim Management Committee presented certificate to its grand patrons and stakeholders. And the chairmen of all the major markets in Aba came to identify with them as a show of love and solidarity. The Eziukwu Road Market, Aba has experienced the dividends of democracy within a very short time of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti’s administration in Abia State. Sometime last month, we were at Eziukwu Road Market, Aba to commission the Eziukwu/Cemetery Road and today again, we are back to flag off the reconstruction of Port Harcourt Road, Aba within the Eziukwu Road Market axis. And this evening we came to Aba Sports Club to rejoice with them on the Certification of their Grand Patrons and Stakeholders who have contributed immensely to the development of Eziukwu Road Market, Aba.
What is your advice to the honorees?
I want them to know that honour is not bestowed on mediocrities. Honour is giving to those honour is due. It is a thing of joy and pride for all of us to grace the historic occasion. I urge them to sustain their support for the People’s Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti in his determination to transform Abia State to greater height. As you can see, few months of Dr. Alex Otti’s administration have surpassed twenty four years of PDP government in Abia State. If the few months he has stayed in office can be like this, I wonder how Abia State would look like when he must have completed his first tenure. And I believe after his second term he would hand over to somebody who would follow his footsteps. If it were possible I would have suggested that his tenure be elongated to third term or more so that the development of Abia State under his administration would be all-encompassing.
