There’s No Magic for Money

Renowned trado-medical practitioner, Chief Dr. Innocent Sike, the Dike Eji Aga Mba 1 of Ikeala Mbutu has warned those who kill their fellow human beings and do other dirty things in order to get rich quick that there is no magic for money stressing that the only way to be rich is through hard work, perseverance and excellence.

He made this assertion in a chat with newsmen during his celebration of this year’s New Yam Festival at his Ikeala Mbutu country home in Isiala Ngwa South local government area of Abia State on Friday, October 20, 2023.

The powerful and highly respected traditional medicine expert averred that the claim by some people that there is magic for money is spurious and non-existent.

He lamented that so many people, especially youths of nowadays have sold their heart to the Devil and fallen victims to the scam perpetrated by those who claim to possess the magic for sudden wealth so that the unsuspecting victims can keep coming back to them and making them millionaires instead.

He advised people not to allow themselves to be deceived any longer by such false claim to avoid confusion and trouble in their life.

Speaking on the New Yam Festival, he said that it is an annual celebration in the entire Igbo land and a period of Thanksgiving to God for sustaining their lives throughout the year as well as granting them bountiful harvest.

He noted that it is a thing of joy to be alive to celebrate this year’s New Yam Festival because the dead do not celebrate or praise God.

He appreciated family members, relatives, friends, well wishers and a galaxy of distinguished personalities from far and near who came to celebrate the two-day occasion with him, which commenced on Thursday, October 20, 2023 and ended the following day with unprecedented pomp.

There was more than enough to eat and drink and the various cultural troupes and musical bands present added glamour to the occasion.

At the end, Chief Dr. Innocent Sike wished his mammoth guests safe journey back to their various destinations.

He charged them to continue to love themselves and live in peace with one another.

He also used the occasion to congratulate the Governor of Abia State, His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) on the able way he has been piloting the affairs of the state since his assumption of Office.

He described him as Godsent to deliver the people of Abia State from untold hardship and expressed confidence that the way he is going that he would transform Abia State to greater height in the years ahead.
