Prof. Nwokolo, Diamond Towers, Blessed Emyjoe, Others Celebrate Oga Bartho @ 70
It was jubilation galore as Chief Barth Azubuike Madubuko (JP) clocked 70 years. As usual, the renowned Aba-based textile merchant, two-time executive chairman, Grand Patron and Diamond Father of Ekeoha International Shopping Complex, Aba had wanted to observe it quietly by attending Mass to thank God for His amazing grace upon his life, come back home and rejoice with his family.
But that was not to be as his boys at Ekeoha International Shopping Complex, Aba otherwise known as ‘Bartho Boys’, and teeming admirers led by his former head boy and manager, Emeka Uchendu (Blessed Emyjoe) decided to give him a pleasant surprise.
They stormed his Aba residence without prior notice with coolers of sumptuous food, fried meat/chicken, choice wine, assorted beers, and every other good thing to celebrate his milestone 70th birthday in a grand style.
It was a day to remember as they ate, drank, danced and showered accolades on Chief Barth Azubuike Madubuko (JP) wishing him good health, God’s protection and many more fruitful birthday celebrations ahead.
Speaking, Emeka Uchendu, the sponsor of the birthday bash said that it is a great honour to be alive to celebrate his boss, ‘Oga Bartho’, for his enduring love for him and many others who passed through his tutelage and mentorship at Ekeoha International Shopping Complex, Aba where he holds sway as a household name in high quality fabrics and highly respected as a leader extraordinaire.
He described him as a very kind, loving, caring, humble and God-fearing leader who has inspired so many people in Ekeoha International Shopping Complex, Aba and beyond to greater heights in business and other spheres of life.
He thanked God for blessing him with such a wonderful boss (Oga), father-figure and mentor stressing that he would always be proud of him.
He prayed God to bless him and cause him to continue to shine in good health, agility, wisdom and riches.
Appreciating him and his friends, Chief Barth Azubuike Madubuko (JP) said that it is an honour to be celebrated by his boys during his lifetime and thanked them for their love and coming to celebrate his new age. He described the gesture as unprecedented and a pleasant surprise, indeed.
He thanked God for making it possible for him to attain the age of 70 years in good health and promised to always make himself available any time they call on him.
He blessed them and prayed God to grant them long life, good health, wisdom and riches adding that others would also celebrate them for celebrating him.
The celebration continued throughout the day and was further enriched by Chukwudum Augustine Okeke, the Managing Director of Diamond Towers Nig. Ltd and his beautiful wife, Diamond Lady Chioma Chukwudum Okeke whose awesome gifts to the celebrant have remained the talk of the town.
Speaking, Chukwudum Okeke said that it is a pleasure to celebrate Chief Barth Azubuike Madubuko’s milestone 70th birthday in a manner befitting his status and remarkable personality.
He described him as a rare gem and a quintessential leader whose tremendous transformation of Ekeoha International Shopping Complex, Aba during his two consecutive tenures would continue to resonate in Abia State and the nation at large.
He said that the septuagenarian’s contributions towards enhancing the lot of those around him, the church and society would continue to remain an inspiration to them and upcoming generations.
He prayed God to grant him long life, good health, more wisdom and riches to sustain his selfless service to God and humanity.
Prof. Chinelo Nwokolo, Dean of Students Affairs, Federal University of Petroleum, Warri and her wonderful children also added colour to the celebration with their staggeringly expensive gifts and endearing birthday wishes.
They thanked God for preserving his life up to 70 years and prayed that He would continue to sustain him in good health in the years ahead.
On their part, Mr. Nnaemeka Nwafor (a.k.a. Atuo Onyike Ahia Investments) and his lovely wife showered praises and gifts on Oga Bartho wishing him good health and many more fruitful celebrations ahead.
Titus Okoroafor popularly known as ‘Ejima’ eulogized the celebrant for his loving kindness and generosity after presenting his gift to him and wished him a Happy 70th birthday and more glorious years ahead.
The celebrant’s children were not left out. They also paid glowing tributes to their beloved father and wished him a joyous 70th birthday and prayed God to continue to keep him alive in good health to reap the fruit of his labour and see his children’s children and great grand children in the name of Jesus Christ.
Chief Barth Azubuike Madubuko’s 70th birthday was a huge success and a testament to the profound impact he has made on the lives of so many people around him and beyond over the years.
