POPULAR BROADCASTER MC ABOKI THROWS WEIGHT BEHIND OTTI’S 2027 BID
The popular broadcaster, comedian and master of ceremonies, Ifeanyichukwu Ahanihu, widely known as MC Aboki na Asu Igbo of Magic FM, Aba, has thrown his weight behind the re-election bid of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR), declaring that the governor’s remarkable performance in the last three years has earned him the confidence and support of the people.
MC Aboki made the declaration while speaking at the grand civic reception organized by Imo indigenes resident in Abia State in honour of Governor Otti at Ogbonnaya Onu Polytechnic, Aba.
Describing the event as a historic moment for Imo people living in Abia, the renowned entertainer said the gathering was not merely a celebration of the governor but a recognition of a leader whose style of governance has transformed the fortunes of the state.
According to him, Governor Otti has rewritten the story of Abia through purposeful leadership, infrastructural renewal and people-oriented policies, insisting that his achievements within three years have surpassed the expectations of many residents.
He described the governor as “a simple man by nature” whose humility has not diminished his determination to reposition Abia, adding that Otti came into office with a clear vision to rebuild the state and has remained committed to fulfilling that mandate.
“Today is a great day for Imo indigenes resident in Abia State because we have gathered to honour a leader who has changed the narrative of governance. Governor Alex Otti came to paint Abia State, and indeed he has painted it beautifully. His developmental strides are visible for everyone to see,” he said.
MC Aboki expressed confidence that Governor Otti would secure a second term in the 2027 governorship election, maintaining that no political force would stop the governor from returning to office because his performance has spoken louder than campaign promises.
He noted that the extensive road reconstruction and other infrastructure projects executed across the state within a short period have restored public confidence in government and improved the living conditions of residents.
“If Abia has witnessed this level of transformation within just three years under Governor Otti, then one can only imagine what the state will become after another four years. Abia will be like a small London. The state will become a reference point for development, and the entire world will take notice,” he stated.
The ace broadcaster further argued that the governor’s achievements have made the 2027 election an easy decision for many Abians, stressing that support for Otti is based on visible performance rather than political sentiments.
According to him, the people have seen tangible evidence of good governance through improved roads, ongoing infrastructure development and the restoration of public confidence in government.
He therefore urged residents of the state to sustain their support for the governor, saying continuity would enable the administration to consolidate on the gains already recorded.
“Come 2027, the people of Abia State have every reason to vote for Governor Alex Otti again. I, MC Aboki na Asu Igbo, will vote for him, and I believe many others will do the same.
We are not supporting him because someone asked us to; we are supporting him because we have seen his good works with our own eyes. He deserves another term to sustain the developmental strides he has already begun,” he said.
