100 Days in Office: Akwete Livestock Market Aba Lauds Alex Otti’s Clamp down on Touts in Abia State

There seems to be no end to the deluge of kudos that marked the 100 Days in Office of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR).

The resounding kudos is an eloquent testimony that the people are very happy with the performance of the dynamic and visionary Governor of Abia State within a very short time in office.

According to them things are simply getting better in the God’s Own State since Dr. Alex Otti mounted the saddle.

In a chat with newsmen on Dr. Alex Otti’s 100 Days in Office, the executive and entire traders of Akwete Livestock Market, Aba expressed great satisfaction with the giant strides of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti (OFR) in various sectors of the state such as infrastructure, health, education, agriculture, civil service, security, trade among others adding that their greatest happiness is his clamp down on touts throughout the state, which they said had been a thorn in their flesh over the years.

According to the elated traders, the menace of touts reached the stage that drivers refused to convey their goods from the North down to Aba for fear of molestation, intimidation, harassment, exploitation and damage to their vehicles by touts.

They also praised Dr. Alex Otti for scooping the drainage in some parts of Aba thus making it possible for water to pass through the drainage whenever it rained instead of percolating on the road.

Speaking, the chairman of Akwete Livestock Market, Aba, Elder Chima Jonah Amah described Dr. Alex Otti’s 100 Days in Office as impactful.

He thanked him for his love for traders in Abia State as well as his uncommon courage in clamping down on touts and their illegal activities in the state adding that they can now heave a huge sigh of relief and conduct their business without fear of touts.

He assured him of their unwavering loyalty and total support to his administration and prayed God to imbue him with more wisdom and good health as he pilots the affairs of Abia State to greater height in the days ahead.

He enumerated the challenges facing them in Akwete Livestock Market, Aba such as lack of electricity, bad roads, especially Mosque Road among others and appealed to him to come to their rescue.

Contributing, the vice chairman of the market, Chief Amarachukwu Iyiakaibe (Aku enwe ebe 1 of Ehime Mbano) also lauded Dr. Alex Otti for bringing an end to the illegal activities of touts in the state adding that they are now relaxed and do their business without fear of touts.

He wished him well in the days ahead adding that he would govern Abia State for eight years because he has the interest of the state and welfare of the people at heart.

On his part, the patron of the market, Ezinna Fidelis Aririafo described Dr. Alex Otti as the People’s Governor stressing that his resounding victory in the 2023 governorship election was greeted with widespread jubilation throughout the state.

He commended him as well for bringing to an end the reign of touts in the state and assured him of their total support to his administration.

In their separate speeches, the treasurer, Iheanacho Joel, the secretary, Ugochukwu Okoroafor and the chief security officer (CSO), Ama Orji Okoro described Dr. Alex Otti’s giant strides in his first 100 Days in Office as unparalleled in the history of Abia State.

They extolled his remarkable achievements in the areas of road infrastructure, health, education, security, agriculture among others adding that they are grateful and proud to have him as their governor.
